Dr. Terry Weyman

Clinic Director, Doctor of Chiropractic, Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner,  CSI

Dr. Terry Weyman is a nationally and internationally recognized sports chiropractor with more than 36 years of clinical leadership and experience in human performance, sports medicine, and injury management. Based in Southern California, he has served as Clinic Director of Chiropractic Sports Institute for over three decades, helping build one of the region’s most respected performance-driven practices.

Dr. Weyman earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College–Los Angeles and holds his Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) credential. He has completed advanced sports medicine training, including a Sports Medicine Internship at the U.S. Olympic Training Center, and was selected by the United States Olympic Committee to serve as Team USA Chiropractor at the World University Games.

His career includes leadership roles as Chief Medical Director for multiple professional and elite amateur athletic events, as well as service as Team Chiropractor for national and international teams, including Olympic-level alpine skiing and elite cycling programs.

In addition to his clinical leadership, Dr. Weyman is deeply committed to education and mentorship, having served as a post-graduate faculty member and instructor for advanced sports chiropractic programs nationwide. He is the author of more than 20 publications, magazine columns, and two book chapters, and continues to advance evidence-based, performance-focused care for athletes and active individuals at every stage of life.

Currently, Dr. Weyman works closely with Pepperdine University Athletics, collaborating with athletic trainers to oversee the care and performance of all athletic teams. He is also a sought-after lecturer, presenting nationally and internationally on the role of chiropractic care in sports-related injuries, performance optimization, and long-term athlete health.

Dr. Aaron Schneider

Doctor of Chiropractic, CSI

Dr. Aaron Schneider is a Southern California native and received his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in San Jose. Since graduating in 2017, he has practiced in several clinics in California, honing his chiropractic skills and getting training in various techniques and practice styles. Prior to chiropractic school he was the rehab specialist here at CSI and now he is back where he started.

Dr. Aaron has a particular love for working with the head and the feet (the two ends of the body), and specializes in TMJ dysfunction, headaches, cranial work and anything extremities. He believes that by restoring the natural motion of ALL the joints in the body, and thus restoring the ideal communication between the brain and the body, it is able to heal itself and thrive. Knowing this, he truly works from head to toe to make sure your body is moving as efficiently as possible. And if you spend enough time with him you’ll soon realize that he not only treats patients with this philosophy, he lives it.

Shaun Johnson, M.S., A.T.C.

Director of Rehabilitation, CSI

Shaun Johnson joined the CSI team in June 2026 as Director of Rehabilitation, bringing a diverse background in athletic training, performance care, and evidence-based rehabilitation. She is dedicated to helping patients return to activity safely and efficiently through individualized, high-quality care.

Prior to joining CSI, Shaun served as an Associate Athletic Trainer at California State University, Northridge, where she worked closely with the Matadors’ men’s volleyball and men’s and women’s track & field programs. Her clinical experience also includes working with elite athletes at the University of California, Santa Barbara (men’s soccer and softball), as well as national-level competitors through USA Volleyball and USA Beach.

Shaun earned her Master of Science in Athletic Training from California State University, Long Beach in 2023. During her graduate studies, she conducted research on the impact of mental health support on injury recovery timelines, earning recognition as the Outstanding Graduate Student in the Department of Kinesiology.

Before transitioning into healthcare, Shaun competed as a professional volleyball player internationally, spending two years playing in Hungary and the Faroe Islands. This firsthand experience as an athlete informs her empathetic, performance-driven approach to rehabilitation.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Seattle Pacific University in 2019. Shaun has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association since 2021 and became a Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer in May 2023.

Dr. Vishal Thakral, D.O.

Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

Dr. Vishal Thakral is double board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine with a subspecialty in Musculoskeletal Sonography. Following his residency, Dr. Thakral completed two fellowships focusing on orthobiologics integrating regenerative therapies in treating diverse orthopedic conditions.

Dr. Thakral’s mission is to ensure patients are on the correct path of treatment whether that be conservative options first or identifying the correct pain-generating source before needed surgery and the recovery that follows. CSI Therapy Dogs

At CSI, you may be greeted by our two very unofficial—but very beloved—“therapy” dogs, Dug and Finn. Their job description is simple: spread joy, lower stress, and make people smile—and they take it seriously. Together, they add an extra layer of comfort and warmth to the CSI experience, and patients love them as much as we do. 🐾
