Aaron Schneider is a graduate of CSUN in 2010 with a BS in Kinesiology, specializing in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics. For the past year he has worked as an aide to a physical therapist doing post-surgical, pre-surgical, and non-surgical injury rehabilitation with an emphasis on Pilates and core stabilization. He competed as a Division 1 volleyball player at CSUN before spending 4 years racing as an elite cyclist. Aaron has been an athlete his whole life, playing everything from soccer and basketball, to golf and volleyball, and even hockey. He has firsthand experience pushing the human body (physically and mentally), and knowledge of its ability to recover from injuries. He is pursuing Osteopathic Medical School and hopes to start in the fall of 2013. He wishes to become a family practitioner and also work with athletes, focusing on nutrition and holistic healing; including Physical Therapy, Massage, Chiropractic, and Acupuncture.
Aaron believes in a balance of “do as I do” and “do as I say”. For that reason, he maintains a healthy mind and body by sticking to a Paleo/Primal nutrition plan, weight lifting, sprinting, hiking, cycling, yoga, Pilates, and meditation. It is important to play and have fun, and he incorporates that thought into everything he does. He studies all forms of healing, from modern medicine to ancient Chinese practices, and stays up to date with current literature.
Our rehabilitation programs are personalized and they not only focus on regaining function to the injured site, they include strengthening the entire body (especially the core), increasing stability and mobility of the joints, visualization and breathing techniques, and nutritional guidelines for optimal recovery. We use a combination of free weights, suspension training, proprioception training, and Pilates. Chiropractic care is at the core of our program and will supplement the rehabilitation. Our goal for each person is to leave the program stronger than they were before the injury.
